Did somebody say only fire can create Ashes?? England has already done it !!!!

"Gabba.. Gabba" was the only thing Ponting had to say 2 weeks back before the boxer day of the 2010-11 Ashes. Thanks to a fighting Hussey-Haddin that saved them from not losing the 1st test match. A Draw, still it had everything a true test cricket fan wanted!

Thats history, but lets walk into a Flat track on Adelaide. Questions put over both the English & the Aussies over getting 20wickets....but 24hours later the England guys have really put the Aussies on fire! I would say the discipline of Anderson & Co just won it with the over-confidence of the Aussie line-up. Once again a big thanks to Hussey & Haddin for saving the face of Aussies!

This test match is on, and the ball is on the English court. Aussies are known to fight & i dont expect any cakewalk victory for England. It calls for some strong performances which are all due from either sides. But as of now it looks like the Kangaroos, in their own home land, are on the English pan!!

One night that showed class stays & form gets finer !!

Two weeks back there was this guy about whom every Indian spoke of, "What is he doing in the Indian test team?", "he fishes a lot around the off stump line", "he doesnt seem to even pick the spinners well nowadays", "its a disgrace to see him playing in the XI when Murali Vijay is in such prime form".... between all that there were voices that stood by him, with the faith that he will deliver.

Heard n heard over the years, but still Gambhir made every critic repeat it "Form is temporary, Class is permanent". For a kid born with the passion to play the game & even more to be a fighter for the country, this was a small indicator of my own line "do what you love and the world will love what you do".

Last night, it was of course Gambhir's innings that shook off the Kiwis. Just when it seemed that Gauti had lost something in him that he once had, He regained it! I still remember the tendency to play a lot away from the body, the number of played on, the absence of the his confident strokes; was it something in his mind or something hard for an outsider to see. Its not that Gambhir scored 138 whole runs but rather the way he scored it. hell off with the strike rate, I mean beyond that, his shots!! Every single shot came back in one night. From his punch past the mid-off, past covers, past point & my most favorite down the ground crash!!

After a small (but long in terms of Gambhir) bad patch, He won the battle on the 22 yard field & it seemed like he tore apart the opponent. The best part was he didn't try to prove anyone & neither was a question regarding it. As Gambhir walked down to the pavilion & he was patted by Yuvraj 6-7 times & the final hug from Gary Kristen said it all, Gambhir you are one special man!
Even for me.

My first post!

I ve been hearing about blogs for some time, and I really wanted to do something too but now I think I'm too late. In fact like Neets says, "better late than never"!

In love with Cricket, and the one last chance for me to use my little awareness... is this place. I'm not sure of the number of people who might read this or rather follow me because thats too narrow a thought.

Thats it for now, I just wanted a start & this will do :)

Adios
